Pity Party for 1, Your Table is Ready

I'm having a bad day and really feeling sorry for myself. My PT treatments are getting more and more painful. I cried thru the entire thing today. I am so angry that someone's careless mistake led me to this. I am really sore now, my neck hurts, my head hurts and I feel nauseous. I know there are a lot of people who have problems way worse than mine so I need to just suck it up and deal. Easier said than done.

Longing for the Beach

We are not having a beach vacation this year due to the timing of my dad's visit here and our recent trip to California. We usually like to go in the spring because it is in between high season and hurricane season. I'm not interested in the beaches near here in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. I want St. John and I want it bad! Maybe I can convince my husband to go in November when hurricane season is almost over and before Thanksgiving when rates go sky high. It is just so beautiful. This picture doesn't even give it justice.

Crisis Averted

My health scare is over so now I feel better writing about it. About a month ago one of every woman's biggest fears came true for me...I found a lump in my breast. I completely freaked out. It was the middle of the night so I got it all out and was able to pull myself together by the morning and go to the Dr. who said, yes, you have a lump. He said for me to have a mammogram and ultrasound which I immediately scheduled, but took about 2.5 weeks to get the appointment, and to also schedule a consult with a surgeon...just in case. I had the tests done and they said nothing showed up as a mass on either test, but was told to keep my appointment with the surgeon in case he thought I needed a biopsy. My fears subsided quite a bit after the tests showed up negative, however I was still a little nervous. I saw the surgeon last Friday and he said there is not a distinct lump for him to remove, but just lumpy tissue. I am supposed to go see him again in 3 months or sooner if it changes. The day I saw him, it was harder for me to find the lump and now it has shrunk even more so I feel ok with not having any other tests. I'm writing about this to remind women to check their breasts! I had 2 clinical breast exams earlier in the year and this was not found. I found it myself. We know our bodies better than any doctors.

National Donut Day

I had no idea such a thing existed, much less that it was today. You would think I would know about this given my love for the donut. Some donut chains are giving away free donuts. I don't mind paying for my donut, but I feel like I missed out on a celebration. Anyway, it's 11:25pm so there is still 35 minutes left. HAPPY NATIONAL DONUT DAY!!!!!
