Time Out

I'm taking a break from writing this blog for a couple reasons. First, I was hoping to get more of a following. I appreciate the handful of readers I have, but there really aren't many of you. Second, I'm not very open lately about things because I don't want to put all my feelings out there for the world to read. You never know when it might come back. So stay tuned...maybe I will get re-inspired. In the mean time, I think all of my regular readers are my Facebook friends, so you can find me there.

11 Years

Eleven years ago today I met my husband at a Dodgers/Giants game tailgate party at Candlestick Park where we were both rooting for the Dodgers. We met in the parking lot, sat next to each other at the game and had our first date two weeks later. I had gone on a trip to NY and Philadelphia right after we met so it delayed our first date. He was all I could think about while I was gone. The day I got back from the trip an enormous bouquet of flowers was delivered to me at work. Giant..like hotel lobby giant. My office was a converted conference room (the former board room) at the time so people kept coming by wondering who I was since I was young, had this huge office and a giant flower arrangement. After our first date I knew he was the one.

When Did DC Get Trendy?

It must be Obama. Since I've lived here I have never thought of DC as a trendy place. Casting is going on for the Real Housewives of DC and the Real World is filming in DC right now.

No Summer Vacation Here

The busy season has officially begun at work. When you decide to work in corporate finance there are certain times of the year you know will be busy and you accept it. It's budget season now, let the games begin.
