It's All About the TV
The family room project is just about done. We just need to paint the window trim and install the baseboard. The point of this project was to get a plasma TV on the wall and try to make the room more inviting. When people would come to our house they never wanted to be in this room. We've been able to rearrange the furniture and now people gravitate to it so I'm happy. I miss having the mantle, but I can't have everything. We had to remove the mantle to be able to mount the TV lower. Otherwise it will be too uncomfortable to look up so high to see the TV. We still need new furniture, but that's going to have a to wait a little while.

Yep, if you click on the picture and make it bigger, you can see that they are cleaning each other so I thought it was a cute pic to post. When the mantle first came down it really confused them...kept going over to it, thinking of jumping on it still...
We jsut had a similar project. I know, I miss my mantle too, but all in all I love having the TV over the fireplace. Now I don't have to divide my attention between them. Your project turned out very well.
I think the kitties miss the mantle too!
